Your child is precious to us and will receive individual attention while in our care. We set an example for your child by sharing God’s love and joy in our words, actions, and expressions. A simple curriculum is taught each week and we consider it a privilege to participate in forming your child’s earliest impressions of our wonderful God.

The Nursery (birth–walking)

Our nursery room offers a warm, friendly atmosphere where the main objective is to provide safe, loving care for our babies. There are plenty of engaging toys, swings, jumpers, seats, and interesting tactile wall décor to encourage exploration, growth and development. Our volunteers interact with the children through simple games such as “peek-a-boo” and “pat-a-cake,” sing songs like “Jesus Loves Me” and provide plenty of hugs, snuggles, and love.

The Meadow (walking–2 ½)

Children in The Meadow experience a time of play, praise and worship, Bible story, prayer, and snack during their service. There are age appropriate toys, books, and puzzles as well as a slide, magnetic wall and bubbles! The Meadow is also equipped with a child sized bathroom for any children beginning the toilet training process.

The Garden (2 ½ & 3)

The Garden is a fun, inviting space for our children. The main attraction is the large climber and slide, but this room also contains toys such as a play kitchen, water table, and blocks to encourage imaginative play. Children in this room will enjoy free play as well as praise and worship, Bible story, prayer and snack time. On Wednesday evenings, this group also is given the opportunity to complete a craft. The Garden is equipped with a child sized bathroom for children learning toilet training.

Backyard (4)

The Backyard is a large room for our 4 year olds. During their time in the Backyard, children are given the opportunity to play and are then brought together for our large group welcome, praise and worship and Bible story. Then our children divide into groups and rotate through story, small group, snack, and craft stations.

K-Street (Kindergarten, or age 5)

K-Street is our newest classroom! It meets on Sundays during our 11:15 am service, and is designed to provide our kindergartners with age appropriate lessons and activities, as well as help them transition into Kid City. Children in K-Street worship with their Backyard friends during the first half of the school year, then they get to experience worship in Kid City for the second half of the school year.

Parents

Bright Beginnings has a blog for families of children who are part of this ministry. It gives parents ideas for activities that reinforce the lessons being taught on Sunday mornings and reports on all that the children have done during their class time. You may access the blog at www.startingsmall.net.
