One of the great thrills of Christian discipleship is discovering the joy and adventure of living a generous life.
Your time, talents, tithes and offerings help us to continue the ministries that have made an impact on your life.
Our vision for giving
Love God: We want to be disciples that grow so much in our love for Jesus that everything we say and do is a natural outpouring of that love.
Give Mightily: We want to be disciples who give our individual and collective will over to our Lord.
Live Joyfully: The result of God-centered generosity, the outward expressions of God’s inward movement in our lives, is a life full of joy!
Our mission for giving
Generosity: sacrificially (with joy) give to the work of our Lord
Obedience: act out of selfless, relentless love for the Body
Devotion: relinquish control to God: the owner of all things
THE SKINNY ON GIVING
1. IT HAS TO START WITH THE RIGHT PERSPECTIVE
God is the creator of all things. That means He made the minds and hands we use to earn money and develop our skills. We are (or at least we ought to be) grateful for that, so to show our appreciation, we allow God to use the gifts He's given us to do His work...however He wants. It's His call. We just have to make our resources available for Him to use.
2. GIVING ISN'T JUST ABOUT MONEY
There are a lot of ways to give. You can give some of your time. You can put your skills or talents to work for God. You can serve on the front lines or behind the scenes. There are literally hundreds of opportunities to serve God in dozens of ways. We serve a creative God who wants us to be creative, too!
Check out all of our opportunities to SERVE, or visit the Catalyst Center in the Commons for more information.
3. BUT GIVING IS ALSO ABOUT MONEY
Yes, the Bible teaches that we should worship God by giving our material possessions up for His use. That includes our money. You may want to follow the tithe guideline of giving 10%, apply the biblical principal of loving your neighbor as yourself to money, or prayerfully seek God's guidance on how to give freely and joyfully. However you give, just make sure you give. God wants all of us, not most of us. If we hold back our money, we hold back a part of ourselves and that means we are getting in our own way - interfering with the fullness of the blessings God wants to pour out for His fully devoted followers.
You can give with cash or by writing a check during any of our worship services. You can also give securely online anytime.
