Who we are

Who we are

Our purpose is simple: JaxNaz Church exists to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ. We do this by building an attractive community to envelop our active reach as we COME, GROW, SERVE, and GO!

Our strategy comes directly from the way Jesus makes more and better disciples. He intentionally invites people to come and follow him. Those followers grow together in groups and proceed to serve the world. Then they go and invite others to do the same.

Jesus’ strategy is the JaxNaz Church strategy:

COMEcome and see. | John 1:39-41 | Every worship gathering at JaxNaz Church is
designed to point people toward Jesus; come and see what God is doing!

GROWgrow together. | Philippians 1:9-11 | We are here to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and we believe that growth happens better in circles than in rows. Groups meet at the church and around the community for twelve weeks at a time, three times a year. Get connected today!

SERVEserve Jesus. | 1 Peter 4:10 | Everyone is wired with special gifts, abilities, and bents that can be used to reach more people for Jesus. You don’t have to be perfect to serve Jesus; you just have to be willing. Sign up to serve Jesus and see how he changes lives as you do!

GOgo and tell. | Matthew 28:19-20 | Jesus told us to be disciple-making disciples. We embrace this call to GO through three initiatives: Compassionate Ministries, church planting, and OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children). Through these initiatives, we share the love of God with those in physical, emotional, and spiritual need in Jackson County and all the way to Kenya! Learn more about what God is doing in two of these initiatives right now!

Why Jesus?

Why Jesus?

changes everything

The world in which we live is in desperate need of hope. People everywhere struggle, fighting battles against each other and within themselves. These battles stem from our wounded, fallen nature as we rage against what we know is right. Culturally, we have labeled the voice that tells us what is right or wrong our conscience. In fact, it is God's Spirit drawing us toward Himself.

God sent Jesus, His son, from heaven to us. Jesus was born as a vulnerable baby, grew into a man, and showed us how to live the life God intended from the beginning. Then, knowing there was nothing we could do to end the battle between sin and righteousness, Jesus BECAME sin for us even though he was without sin himself. He went to the cross as sin and died.

Through Jesus, sin died.

Then, Jesus came back to life!

JESUS came back to life.

Sin did not.

We are still a broken people, but there is hope! During his earthly ministry, Jesus taught us that when we accept him as Christ, Messiah, Savior, he will send the Advocate, the Helper, the Holy Spirit, to live powerfully in us so that sin is no longer our master. Laying our lives down for Jesus sets us free.
