Our strategy comes directly from the way Jesus makes more and better disciples. He intentionally invites people to come and follow him. Those followers grow together in groups and proceed to serve the world. Then they go and invite others do the same.
Jesus’ strategy is the JaxNaz Church strategy:
COME – come and see. | John 1:39-41 | There is just no way to duplicate what happens when God’s people come together in person to worship Him! Come and see what God is doing!
GROW – grow together. | Philippians 1:9-11 | Growth happens better in circles than in rows. Get connected to a Group to grow closer to Jesus and others through Bible study, prayer, and simply spending time together.
SERVE – serve Jesus. | 1 Peter 4:10 | Everyone is wired with special gifts, abilities, and bents that can be used to reach more people for Jesus. We have lots of opportunities to serve at the church, in the community, and even abroad.
GO – go and tell. | Acts 1:8 | We GO primarily through three initiatives: OVC, CM Jackson, and church planting, that allow us to share God’s love with widows and orphans in Kenya, people in need around Jackson County, and those in our community who have yet to be found in Jesus Christ!
We are currently in a campaign to further two of these initiatives. Learn more HERE!
WHEN AND WHERE?
Sunday – 9:30 | 11:15a .
3905 Clinton Road
Jackson, Michigan 49201
Welcome home! Our Connections Team is ready to greet you, answer any questions you may have, and guide you to where you need to go.
Hosts are available just inside the sanctuary ready to help you feel right at home. Let them know how many people are with you, and they will guide you to the best seat(s) available.
Our worship services typically last about an hour. Children's ministries for birth through fifth grade run during every worship service. Sixth through eighth graders worship in the teen center during our 11:15 service. High school students worship together in our inter-generational worship services in the sanctuary and gather together on Sunday evenings.
Doors open for Bright Beginnings (birth through kindergarten) fifteen minutes before services begin. Kid City (elementary aged children's ministry) and AM (middle school youth ministry) doors open ten minutes before service. We recommend arriving early so you won’t feel rushed.
WHAT TO WEAR?
Dress comfortably. One of the things you’ll notice about JaxNaz is that people are free to be themselves. You’ll feel right at home wearing anything from jeans and tennis shoes to wingtips and business suits.
We would love the opportunity to meet you. Our pastors make themselves available after services in the Commons and in their ministry areas. If you have any questions during your visit, ask anyone with a nametag or visit the Catalyst Center.
Safety is important to us. Every parent/guardian of kids birth through fifth grade receives an identification tag that matches the child’s ID number. Only the adult with this tag and its corresponding number can pick a child up after service. That number also serves to notify parents/guardians if their child needs their attention while during service.
In the earliest days of Christianity, the Lord added thousands daily to those were being saved . At that time, people gathered together once a week to worship God as a larger community and they met daily in each other's homes to pray and study God’s Word.
Groups at JaxNaz continue this beautiful tradition. Get connected to a Group today!
Lives are changed when we serve others. When we serve, people hear Jesus in our words and see Him in our actions. Plus, the Jesus teaches that when we serve others, we are actually serving God (Matthew 25:35-49). So, people see Him in you and you get to see Him in them! You don’t have to be perfect to serve God. You just have to be willing.
You don’t have to be perfect to serve Jesus. You just have to be willing. Because it is Jesus Christ we serve, we expect the following of every volunteer:
1. Treat every person with dignity.
2. Demonstrate grace to those you serve.
3. Love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:31)
Get involved today!
Jesus calls us to share his love and the Good News of salvation at home and around the world (Acts 1:8). At JaxNaz Church, we do this primarily through three initiatives: OVC, community outreach, and church planting.
We partner with churches in Kenya to provide education, income-generating trade development, and social needs to families with Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC).
Compassionate Ministries (CM Jackson) is here to share the love of God through hunger ministries, community transformation, and ministry to people with special needs. Learn more here!
Over 111,000 people in Jackson County have yet to find the hope, love, and salvation Jesus Christ offers everyone. They can’t all come to us, so, we’re going to them! Connect with our upcoming plant, Found Church, here!
